The Art of the Kahuna Lapa’au
Temple Lomi Training
Life Giving… Life Affirming… Healing Touch.
Reserve Your SpotTemple Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian form of bodywork performed by Kahuna Lapa’au — master healers who worked within the Heiau (temple) to bring deep physical and spiritual healing to those they served. This sacred lineage was passed to teacher Susan Pa’ini’u Floyd, a Kumu Hula and master of Temple Lomi, directly from the “Father” of Temple Lomi, Abraham Kawai.
In this training, you’ll learn the flowing strokes, breath work, and spiritual principles that make Temple Lomi more than a massage — it is a journey of connection, for both practitioner and client.
Sacred Techniques
Long, flowing strokes that mirror ocean waves — combined with stretching, gentle rocking, and breath work to release tension and restore energy flow.
Huna Wisdom
The Hawaiian philosophy of Huna is woven through every session — guiding presence, intention, and the practitioner’s connection to Spirit.
Chants & Blessings
Opening and closing Hawaiian chants that set sacred intention — including the traditional Blessing Chant and E Ho Mai.
Hands-On Practice
Guided, hands-on training in a warm, supportive setting — so you leave ready to bring this healing art to your own clients.
